MDG ACADEMY

Education site built for the audience that actually visits — students and parents on phones with patchy data.

Visit live project

MdG Academy is the education arm of the MdG family. The audience is mostly students and parents researching options, often on their phones, often on data plans that don’t love heavy sites.

What we did

Built for mobile-first, not mobile-also. The site is fast, light, and readable on small screens before anything else. Desktop is a nice-to-have, not the design target.

Locked it down properly. Education sites attract a particular kind of bot traffic. We set up the right defenses — headers, captchas where needed, monitoring — without making the experience worse for real visitors.

Performance budget. Hard limits on page weight. New features can ship, but they can’t bloat the load times.

The takeaway

If your audience is mostly on phones with iffy connections, design for that audience first. Most “responsive” sites still aren’t.
